The Web 2.0 Directory plugin for WordPress fails to escape the w2dc_level_filter parameter, so SQL can be appended to existing queries. An unauthenticated attacker can use time-based payloads to extract sensitive data from the site's database.

Sites running the Web 2.0 Directory WordPress plugin at version 2.10.12 or lower are exposed, because the flawed parameter is reachable without logging in. Sites without this plugin are not affected. The sources do not describe further configuration conditions.

The Web 2.0 Directory plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based SQL Injection via the 'w2dc_level_filter' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.10.12 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. Because the parameter is used in integer context without surrounding quotes, WordPress's built-in addslashes/magic_quotes escaping provides no protection against time-based payloads such as SLEEP-based conditionals.
