CVE-2026-112334 · Infrastructure
NO FIX YET · SEE WHAT TO DO
Wazuh before 4.14.9 has an out-of-bounds write in wazuh-execd: more than 64 active-response commands in ossec.conf overflow an array in ReadExecConfig(). An attacker who already controls the manager configuration can corrupt root process memory and crash Active Response across the fleet.

Teams running a Wazuh manager from 1.0.0 up to but not including 4.14.9. The attacker needs control over the manager's ossec.conf, so exposure depends on who can edit manager configuration; installations where only trusted administrators write that file are lower risk. Systems that do not use Active Response are not affected by the crash path.

Attackers controlling ossec.conf active-response blocks can push over 64 commands to agents, overflowing ReadExecConfig() arrays and crashing Active Response fleet-wide.
