CVE-2025-15701 · Package
NO FIX YET · SEE WHAT TO DO

Sites running the Easy Social Icons WordPress plugin before 4.0.3, most relevant on multisite networks where administrators do not have unfiltered_html. Exploitation needs an administrator account, so single-site installs where administrators have full HTML rights carry less risk. Sites on 4.0.3 or later are not affected.

4.0.3 or later (per the advisory's 'before 4.0.3' range). The Easy Social Icons WordPress plugin before 4.0.3 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings before outputting them on front-end pages, which could allow high-privilege users such as Administrators to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed, for example on a multisite network.
