# Linux kernel: Steam HID driver locking bugs, unlocked RCU access

The Linux kernel's HID Steam controller driver had several locking problems, including RCU-protected accesses that were not guarded by a lock. The sources do not state what an attacker gets from this.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## From the sources

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

HID: steam: Clean up locking

This cleans up several issues with locking behavior, including RCU accesses
not being guarded behind a lock.
