# Linux kernel: rohm-bm1390 pressure driver ignores failed reads

The IIO pressure driver for the ROHM BM1390 sensor discarded its cached error value and always returned success, so a failed measurement looked like valid data. The fix makes the read path return the real error code after stopping the measurement.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## From the sources

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

iio: pressure: rohm-bm1390: Return error when read fails

The data reading function ignores the cached error value, and
unconditionally returns 0. Return cached 'ret' -value after stopping
the measurement so user knows if read failed and data is garbage.
