# WordPress ERP plugin: unauthenticated stored XSS via inbound email

The ERP: Complete HR, Accounting & CRM Suite WordPress plugin stores email body content from inbound email without proper sanitization or escaping. An unauthenticated attacker can send or spoof an email to inject scripts that run in the browser of any user who opens the injected page.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check whether the ERP plugin for WooCommerce is installed and its version in the WordPress plugins screen, or with `wp plugin list` if WP-CLI is available.
- Confirm whether inbound email processing for CRM is enabled in the plugin settings.

## Fix

- Update the ERP plugin to a version later than `1.17.10`; the sources do not name the fixed version.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-30T18:55:30+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-96894

## From the sources

The ERP: Complete HR, Accounting & CRM Suite Built for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Inbound Email Body in all versions up to, and including, 1.17.10 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The inbound email router's only gate is a regex match on the References header for a reply token whose hash is never cryptographically validated, meaning any external party who received or can mimic a CRM outbound email can satisfy the check without a WordPress account.
