# Drupal Webform: cross-site scripting flaw lets input run scripts in pages

The Drupal Webform module fails to neutralize input when generating web pages, which enables cross-site scripting. An attacker who gets a crafted input rendered in a page can run script in a visitor's browser.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Webform version with `drush pm:list --filter=webform` or the Drupal extend page; versions `6.2.12` and earlier, and `6.3.0` to `6.3.1`, are listed as affected.

## Fix

- Upgrade the Drupal Webform module to a release newer than `6.3.1` and newer than `6.2.12`, as the advisory's fixed version is not stated in the sources, so check the Drupal security advisory for the exact release.
