# Drupal Webform: cross-site scripting flaw in form pages

The Drupal Webform module fails to neutralize some input when generating web pages, enabling cross-site scripting. An attacker who gets a crafted value into a page can run script in a visitor's browser, which may be a logged-in administrator.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Webform version with `drush pm:list --filter=webform` or the Drupal admin Extend page.
- Confirm whether the version is `6.2.12` or older, or `6.3.0` to `6.3.1`.

## Fix

- Upgrade the Drupal Webform module to a release newer than `6.3.1` and newer than `6.2.12`, as listed in the Drupal security advisory.
