# App Builder WordPress plugin: unauthenticated option write enables visitor redirects

The App Builder WordPress plugin before 5.7.1 lets anyone without a login write attacker-supplied data into one of its options. A separate unauthenticated request then redirects the visitor's browser to a URI built from that stored data, enabling redirects to attacker-chosen sites.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed App Builder plugin version in the WordPress admin plugins list or with `wp plugin get app-builder --field=version` (plugin slug unknown from sources; confirm the slug).
- unknown for other checks; the sources do not say which option is written.

## Fix

- Update the App Builder WordPress plugin to `5.7.1` or later.
- unknown for interim mitigations; the sources do not say.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-23T21:57:17+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-94294

## From the sources

The App Builder WordPress plugin before 5.7.1 does not require authentication or authorisation before writing attacker-supplied data to one of its options and, on a separate unauthenticated request, redirecting the visitor's browser to a URI built from that stored data.
