# MW WP Form WordPress plugin exposes other users' form submissions by ID

The MW WP Form plugin for WordPress, in versions up to and including 5.1.7, lets an unauthenticated visitor read form inquiry records by changing the post_id parameter. An attacker can enumerate sequential IDs to pull names, email addresses and message bodies submitted by other people.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed MW WP Form version in the WordPress plugins screen or `wp plugin get mw-wp-form --field=version`
- Look for the querystring setting enabled on forms in the plugin's form settings; the sources say exploitation needs it on

## Timeline

- 2026-10-29T12:24:39+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-92086

## From the sources

The MW WP Form plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 5.1.7 via the 'post_id' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to extract personally identifiable information from other users' form inquiry records, including submitted names, email addresses, and free-text message bodies, by enumerating sequential post IDs. Exploitation requires the targeted form to have the querystring setting enabled, but this is a standard documented feature of the plugin.
