# Dell OpenManage Enterprise: path traversal gives attacker filesystem access

Dell OpenManage Enterprise versions before 4.8.0 contain a path traversal flaw that lets a file path escape its restricted directory. A successful attacker could reach files on the server's filesystem.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed OpenManage Enterprise version in the web console or on the appliance; `unknown` if the sources do not say how to read it.

## Fix

- Move to OpenManage Enterprise `4.8.0` or later.

## Timeline

- 2026-11-02T13:23:16+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-91903

## From the sources

Dell OpenManage Enterprise, versions prior to 4.8.0, contains an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with adjacent network access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Filesystem access for attacker.
