# Oracle Essbase: low-privileged network user can read a subset of data

Oracle Essbase 21.8.3.0.0 has a Security component flaw that lets a low-privileged user reach it over HTTP. A successful attack gives unauthorized read access to a subset of data Essbase can access.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:oracle essbase affected = 21.8.3.0.0 fixed ?

## How to check

- Check the installed Oracle Essbase version against `21.8.3.0.0`
- Review Oracle's Critical Patch Update advisory for the fixed release (unknown from sources)

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Essbase patch from the Critical Patch Update for the affected release (fixed version unknown from sources)
