# Oracle BRM Server: low-privilege local user can read critical billing data

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) Server versions 15.0.0.0.0 through 15.2.0.0.0 contain a flaw that lets a low-privileged user with logon to the host reach data they should not see. A successful attack gives unauthorized access to critical data held by the BRM system.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm the installed BRM Server version against `15.0.0.0.0`, `15.0.1.0.0`, `15.1.0.0.0` and `15.2.0.0.0`
- Check whether any local accounts beyond administrators can log on to the BRM host

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM Server) for your version line; the exact patch is unknown from the sources
- Restrict local logon to the BRM host to administrators only until patched
