# Oracle Middleware Remote Diagnostic Agent: low-privilege local user reads critical data

Oracle Middleware Common Libraries and Tools, in the Remote Diagnostic Agent component, has a flaw that lets a low-privileged user who can log on to the host reach data they should not see. The CVSS 3.1 score is 5.5 with high confidentiality impact only, and the attack is local and needs low privileges.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Oracle Middleware Common Libraries and Tools version against the affected list: `12.2.1.4.0`, `14.1.1.0.0`, `14.1.2.0.0`, `15.1.1.0.0`
- Confirm whether the Remote Diagnostic Agent component is installed on the host

## Fix

- unknown (the sources do not name a patched version or Oracle Critical Patch Update; check Oracle's Security Alerts advisory for the patch)
