# Oracle Business Intelligence: low-privilege network attacker reads a subset of data

Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, in the Analytics Server component, has a flaw that lets a logged-in low-privilege user reach data over HTTP that they should not see. The sources describe only read access to a subset of accessible data, with no code execution or data change.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm whether Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition is deployed and which version runs: `unknown` if the sources do not give a check command.
- Check that the running version is `8.2.0.0.0` or `26.01.0.0.0` in the affected list: `unknown` for the exact check command.

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition: `unknown` for the patched version, the sources do not name it.
