# Oracle WebCenter Content: flaw in Content Portal Suite allows full takeover

Oracle WebCenter Content's Content Portal Suite component has a flaw that a low-privileged user can reach over HTTP. A successful attack can take over the WebCenter Content server, with high impact to confidentiality, integrity and availability.

## How to check

- Check the installed WebCenter Content version against `12.2.1.4.0` and `14.1.2.0.0`
- Confirm whether the Content Portal Suite component is deployed
- Review the Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory for the patched build

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for WebCenter Content, moving off `12.2.1.4.0` or `14.1.2.0.0`
