# Oracle Identity Manager Connector: LDAP Gateway flaw lets unauthenticated network attackers modify data

Oracle Identity Manager Connector's LDAP Gateway component has a flaw that an unauthenticated attacker with TCP network access can exploit to compromise the product. Successful exploitation allows unauthorized creation, deletion or modification of data, and access to critical data held by the connector.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm whether Oracle Identity Manager Connector is deployed with the LDAP Gateway component, and note the installed version
- Compare the installed version against the affected versions `12.2.1.4.0` and `14.1.2.1.0`

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for Oracle Identity Manager Connector (LDAP Gateway) for your release line; the sources do not name the patch number
- Restrict network access to the LDAP Gateway port to trusted hosts until patched

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the Oracle Identity Manager Connector product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: LDAP Gateway). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via TCP to compromise Oracle Identity Manager Connector. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Identity Manager Connector accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Identity Manager Connector accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.4 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N).
