# Oracle Outside In Clean Content SDK: unauthenticated network crash denies service

The Oracle Outside In Clean Content SDK, version 8.5.8, can be made to hang or repeatedly crash over HTTP by an unauthenticated remote attacker. The flaw affects availability only, so the attacker gets denial of service, not code execution or data access.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check whether the Oracle Outside In Clean Content SDK is in use and at which version; the sources do not give a command or file path to confirm it.
- unknown

## Fix

- Move to a patched Oracle Outside In release per Oracle's Critical Patch Update advisory; the sources do not name the fixed version.
