# Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools: installation security flaw allows data changes

Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools versions 9.2.0.0 through 9.2.26.5 contain an Installation Security flaw. A local attacker who can log on to the host can modify or delete data, read a subset of data, and crash the tools, but only if a person other than the attacker takes an action.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed EnterpriseOne Tools release against the affected range 9.2.0.0-9.2.26.5 (version check method unknown)
- Confirm which hosts run JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools and who has logon access to them (unknown from sources)

## Fix

- Move JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools to a release outside 9.2.0.0-9.2.26.5 per Oracle's July 2026 Critical Patch Update guidance (exact fixed version unknown)
- Restrict local logon access to the infrastructure that runs EnterpriseOne Tools until patched
