# Oracle SOA Suite Fabric Layer flaw lets low-privileged users change data over HTTP

Oracle SOA Suite's Fabric Layer component has a flaw that lets a low-privileged user reach it over HTTP. A successful attack can create, delete or modify data the suite can access and partly disrupt the service.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check whether Oracle SOA Suite is installed and which version runs, for example in the Fusion Middleware console or the SOA server home.
- Confirm whether the installed version is `12.2.1.4.0` or `14.1.2.0.0`.

## Fix

- Move Oracle SOA Suite to a patched release from Oracle's Critical Patch Update for the affected line (the sources do not name the fixed build: unknown).

## Timeline

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the Oracle SOA Suite product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Fabric Layer). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle SOA Suite. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle SOA Suite accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle SOA Suite. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.1 (Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:L).
