# Oracle SOA Suite: low-privilege network flaw lets attackers take over server

Oracle SOA Suite's Fabric Layer, in versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0, has a flaw reachable over HTTP by a low-privilege user. A successful attacker can fully take over the suite and affect other products on the same deployment.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Oracle SOA Suite affected 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.2.0.0 fixed October 2026 CPU patch (number unknown)

## How to check

Check whether Oracle SOA Suite (Fusion Middleware) 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.0.0 is installed: run OPatch lsinventory in the SOA Oracle home and see whether the October 2026 CPU SOA patch is listed. Check whether the SOA HTTP endpoints are reachable by any authenticated user.

## Fix

Apply the Oracle October 2026 Critical Patch Update for Fusion Middleware / SOA Suite 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 (patch numbers in the MOS Fusion Middleware patch availability document; exact numbers unknown, not read). Interim: restrict HTTP access to SOA Suite to trusted internal networks and reduce low-privilege accounts; this does not remove the risk.

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the Oracle SOA Suite product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Fabric Layer). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle SOA Suite. While the vulnerability is in Oracle SOA Suite, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Oracle SOA Suite. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 9.9 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H).
