# ElementsReady Addons for Elementor: subscribers can overwrite stored plugin settings

The ElementsReady Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin through 6.7.2 has settings-save handlers that skip authorization checks, so any logged-in subscriber can change them. An attacker can overwrite stored API credentials and feature or template configuration.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed version of the ElementsReady Addons for Elementor plugin in the WordPress admin under Plugins, and compare it with `6.7.2`.
- Review user accounts with the subscriber role for any you do not recognise.

## Fix

- Update ElementsReady Addons for Elementor to a version later than `6.7.2` once the vendor ships one; the sources do not name a fixed version.
- Rotate the API credentials stored in the plugin settings if the site had untrusted subscriber accounts.

## Timeline

## From the sources

The ElementsReady Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin through 6.7.2 does not perform authorization checks that halt execution in several of its settings-save handlers, allowing users with subscriber-level access and above to overwrite the ElementsReady Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin through 6.7.2's stored settings, including its stored API credentials and its feature and template configuration.
