# Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Management Center: SQL injection leaks information to privileged users

Several Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Management Center release lines contain an SQL injection flaw. A high-privileged attacker with remote access could read information from the backend database.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Management Center version against the affected ranges in the Dell advisory (unknown: the sources list ranges but no check command)
- Confirm which release line is deployed: Feature Release 7.7.1.0 to 8.8, LTS2024 7.13.1.0 to 7.13.1.80, LTS2025 8.3.1.0 to 8.3.1.40, LTS2026 8.6.1.0 to 8.6.1.20

## Fix

- Move to a fixed Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Management Center release for your line (the fixed version numbers are unknown from the sources)
- Check the Dell security advisory for the patched build

## Timeline

## From the sources

Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Management Center, Feature Release versions 7.7.1.0 through 8.8, LTS2024 release versions 7.13.1.0 through 7.13.1.80, LTS2025 release versions 8.3.1.0 through 8.3.1.40, LTS2026 release versions 8.6.1.0 through 8.6.1.20, contain an Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection') vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information disclosure.
