# Oracle WebCenter Content: low-privileged user can alter data over HTTP

Oracle WebCenter Content Server 14.1.2.0.0 has a flaw that a low-privileged attacker can reach over HTTP. A successful attack, which needs a person other than the attacker to act, lets the attacker create, delete or modify critical data and read a subset of stored content.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm the deployed version of Oracle WebCenter Content Server is `14.1.2.0.0`, for example in the admin console or the installed product home.

## Fix

- Apply the patch from Oracle's Critical Patch Update for the affected release (the sources do not name the patched version).
- Until patched, restrict HTTP access to Content Server to trusted networks.
