# Oracle WebCenter Content Server: low-privilege HTTP attacker reads and changes data

Oracle WebCenter Content Server 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 contain a flaw reachable over HTTP that is hard to exploit but needs only a low-privilege account. A successful attacker can create, modify, or delete content and read data the product can access.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed WebCenter Content version against `12.2.1.4.0` and `14.1.2.0.0`
- Confirm whether the Content Server component is exposed over HTTP

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update that covers CVE-2026-87374 for WebCenter Content 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 (patch version unknown from sources)

## Timeline
