# Oracle WebCenter Content Server: low-privilege local user reads critical data

Oracle WebCenter Content Server versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 contain a flaw that lets a low-privileged user who can log on to the host reach data beyond their rights. An attacker gets unauthorized access to critical data held in WebCenter Content, with the scope change meaning other components on the same infrastructure can be affected too.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Oracle WebCenter Content version against `12.2.1.4.0` and `14.1.2.0.0`
- Confirm whether the Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory for this CVE lists your release as affected: unknown

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update that addresses CVE-2026-87372 to WebCenter Content Server (fixed version: unknown)
