# Oracle WebCenter Content: adjacent-network attacker can read and change stored data

Oracle WebCenter Content Server versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 contain a flaw that lets an unauthenticated attacker on the physical network segment of the host compromise the product. A successful attack can create, change, delete or read content the server holds.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Oracle WebCenter Content version against `12.2.1.4.0` and `14.1.2.0.0`
- unknown for other checks, the sources do not say

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update that addresses CVE-2026-87371 for WebCenter Content, or move to a fixed release; the sources do not name the fixed version

## Timeline
