# Oracle E-Business Suite: Valid Session flaw lets low-privileged users take over

Oracle E-Business Suite's Applications Platform Engineering component, versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15, has a flaw in its Valid Session handling. An attacker with a low-privileged logon to the host where it runs can take over the component, with full confidentiality, integrity and availability impact.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed E-Business Suite release version against `12.2.3` through `12.2.15` in the Oracle E-Business Suite environment
- unknown for any other check, the sources do not say

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for Oracle E-Business Suite Applications Platform Engineering, moving past `12.2.15` (exact patch unknown from the sources)
