# Oracle Access Manager: unauthenticated HTTP flaw gives full data access

Oracle Access Manager (Authentication Engine) has an unauthenticated HTTP flaw rated CVSS 3.1 10.0 (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N) that can read and modify all OAM-accessible data and affect other products. Fixed by Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update. The CPU advisory lists 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.2.0.0 and 14.1.2.1.0 as affected; the CVE text names only 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Oracle Access Manager affected 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.2.0.0, 14.1.2.1.0 fixed ?

## How to check

Find your OAM version (for example, run OPatch lsinventory in the OAM Oracle home, or check the WebLogic admin console). If it is 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.2.0.0 or 14.1.2.1.0 and the October 2026 CPU patch is not in the inventory, you are exposed. Check whether OAM's HTTP endpoints are reachable from untrusted networks.

## Fix

Apply the Oracle Access Manager patch from the October 2026 Critical Patch Update (Fusion Middleware patch availability document on My Oracle Support). The exact patch number is not public; the page gives no fixed build number. Until patched, restrict network access to OAM endpoints.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-23T23:03:56+00:00 analyst — Oracle October 2026 CPU (cpuoct2026) lists Oracle Access Manager 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.2.0.0, 14.1.2.1.0 (Fusion Middleware). Patch number/fixed build is behind My Oracle Support and was not readable; no public PoC or exploitation found in Armis/Tenable/Rapid7 listings. Did not search X.

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the Oracle Access Manager product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Authentication Engine). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Access Manager. While the vulnerability is in Oracle Access Manager, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Access Manager accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Access Manager accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 10.0 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N).
