# Oracle E-Business Suite: Applications DBA flaw exposes critical data over HTTP

A flaw in the Internal Operations component of Oracle E-Business Suite's Applications DBA product lets a low-privileged user reach it over HTTP. A successful attack gives unauthorized read access to critical data held by Applications DBA.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm whether Oracle E-Business Suite is deployed and which release it runs, for example by checking the release banner in the Applications home page or the `12.2.x` value in the environment's version info
- Check whether the Applications DBA component is in use on the affected release line `12.2.3` through `12.2.15`

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for CVE-2026-87335 for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 (the sources do not name a fixed patch level, so check Oracle's advisory)
- Restrict HTTP access to Applications DBA to trusted internal networks until patched
