_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- unknown

## Fix

- Update macOS to `27` (Golden Gate), `15.8.2` (Sequoia), or `26.7.2` (Tahoe), per the Apple advisory.

## Timeline

## From the sources

An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. Processing a maliciously crafted file may lead to arbitrary code execution.
