# Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Management Center: SQL injection exposes stored information

Several Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Management Center release lines contain an SQL injection flaw. A high-privileged attacker with remote access could read information the database holds.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Management Center version in the product UI or CLI; the sources do not give a command.
- Compare it against the affected ranges: 7.7.1.0 through 8.8, 7.13.1.0 through 7.13.1.80, 8.3.1.0 through 8.3.1.40, and 8.6.1.0 through 8.6.1.20.

## Fix

- Upgrade Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Management Center to a fixed release for your line; the sources do not name the fixed version numbers.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-28T09:32:03+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-86401

## From the sources

Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Management Center, Feature Release versions 7.7.1.0 through 8.8, LTS2024 release versions 7.13.1.0 through 7.13.1.80, LTS2025 release versions 8.3.1.0 through 8.3.1.40, LTS2026 release versions 8.6.1.0 through 8.6.1.20, contain an Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection') vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information exposure.
