# Oracle Demand Planning: low-privilege HTTP attack exposes critical data

Oracle Demand Planning versions 12.1 and 12.2 contain a flaw in the Internal Operations component that lets a low-privileged user with network access over HTTP reach data beyond their rights. A successful attack needs a second person to interact with it and can expose critical data across the product.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Oracle Demand Planning version against the affected releases 12.1 and 12.2
- Review the Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory for CVE-2026-83394 to confirm the patched build

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle security patch for Oracle Demand Planning 12.1 and 12.2 from the Oracle Critical Patch Update
- Unknown: the exact patched version numbers are not in the sources

## Timeline
