# Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS: Mobile Applications flaw leaks and alters HR data

Oracle E-Business Suite's HRMS (US) module has a flaw in its Mobile Applications component that lets a low-privileged user reach it over HTTP. A successful attack can read a subset of HR records and modify or delete some data, and it requires a second person to take an action.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Oracle E-Business Suite release level for the HRMS (US) product in your environment; the sources do not give a specific command.
- Confirm whether the Mobile Applications component is in use: unknown.

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS (US) on releases 12.2.3 through 12.2.15; the specific patch name is unknown from the sources.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-23T21:57:25+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-83377

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the Oracle HRMS (US) product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Mobile Applications). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle HRMS (US) accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle HRMS (US) accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 5.4 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N).
