# Oracle E-Business Suite: Shipping Execution Workflow Events flaw exposes critical data

An unauthenticated network attacker can reach the Workflow Events component of Oracle Shipping Execution over HTTP, which is part of Oracle E-Business Suite. Successful exploitation allows creating, modifying or deleting critical data and reading all data the Shipping Execution module can access.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm the Oracle E-Business Suite release level, for example by checking the patch level in Oracle Applications Manager or the `ad_bugs` / patch history
- Check whether Shipping Execution (OE/WSH) is in use and reachable over HTTP from untrusted networks

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for CVE-2026-83366 to Oracle E-Business Suite Shipping Execution, moving off the affected 12.2.3-12.2.15 range (exact patched level unknown from sources)

## Timeline

- 2026-10-23T21:57:25+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-83366
