# HPE AOS-10 wireless controllers: unauthenticated info leak leads to command execution

HPE Networking AOS-10 has an information disclosure flaw in an exposed interface that lets an unauthenticated remote attacker read sensitive data from the device. The sources say successful exploitation could also let an attacker run arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:HPE Networking AOS-10 affected >= 10.8.0.0, <= 10.8.1.1; >= 10.7.0.0, <= 10.7.2.6; >= 10.4.0.0, <= 10.4.1.13 fixed 10.8.1.2, 10.7.2.7, 10.4.1.14

## How to check

Check the AOS-10 version on each controller or gateway against the affected ranges: 10.8.0.0 to 10.8.1.1, 10.7.0.0 to 10.7.2.6, and 10.4.0.0 to 10.4.1.13.

## Fix

Upgrade to 10.8.1.2, 10.7.2.7, or 10.4.1.14, matching your branch.

## From the sources

Sensitive information disclosure vulnerabilities in the affected interface of AOS-10 could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to obtain sensitive information from the affected system. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system.
