# Link Library WordPress plugin: unauthenticated link submission bypasses login requirement

The Link Library WordPress plugin does not re-check whether the chosen library requires login when processing a front-end link submission. An unauthenticated visitor can reuse a form token from a library that allows anonymous submissions to post links into a library that requires login.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Link Library plugin version in the WordPress admin Plugins page or the plugin header in `wp-content/plugins/`.
- Look for libraries on the site set to require login for link submission and whether they accept anonymous submissions.

## Fix

- Link Library: move to `7.10.0` or later

## Timeline

- 2026-10-29T06:53:14+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-78395

## From the sources

The Link Library WordPress plugin before 7.10.0 does not re-check the selected library's own login requirement when processing its front-end link submission, allowing unauthenticated users to submit links to a library configured to require login by reusing a form token obtained from another library that does not.
