# ManageEngine Key Manager Plus: low-privilege users can export keys out of scope

Key Manager Plus versions before 7151 have an access control flaw that lets a logged-in low-privilege user export cryptographic keys beyond what they are authorized to see. An attacker who holds a basic account can take keys they should not have, which can expose systems those keys protect.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Key Manager Plus build number in the product's About page against `7151`
- Review which accounts hold low-privilege roles and whether they can export keys

## Fix

- Key Manager Plus: move to version `7151` or later

## Timeline

## From the sources

ManageEngine Key Manager Plus versions before 7151 were vulnerable to an Improper Access Control vulnerability that allowed authenticated low-privilege users to export keys outside their authorized scope.
