{"id":"CVE-2026-65825","kind":"vulnerability","aliases":["CVE-2026-65825"],"related":[],"title":"OpenReception: six-digit client PIN brute-forced online, exposing appointment data","description":"OpenReception's appointment booking software provides an end-to-end encrypted appointment booking platform. In versions 2.1.0 and prior, a returning client's six-digit booking PIN can be brute-forced online in the victim tenant. A successful guess yields the client's booking access token, granting access to that client's appointment tunnel, which holds their end-to-end-encrypted appointment data, and the ability to act as the client, for example adding or cancelling appointments in the tunnel. The bypass is cross-tenant: state owned by one tenant removes an authentication protection of a different tenant. This crossing of the tenant boundary is the basis for the scope-changed vector. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.","summary":"OpenReception appointment booking software in versions 2.1.0 and prior lets an attacker brute-force a returning client's six-digit booking PIN online. A correct guess yields the client's booking access token, exposing their end-to-end-encrypted appointment tunnel and letting the attacker add or cancel appointments as that client.","severity":"high","cvss":7.5,"epss":0.00341,"exploited":false,"exploited_at":null,"products":[],"ecosystems":[],"tags":["appointment-booking","openreception","other","self-hosted"],"not_affected_if":[],"how_to_check":"- unknown","fix":"- unknown","status":"open","published_at":"2026-10-23T21:17:24+00:00","first_seen_at":"2026-10-23T21:57:34+00:00","triaged_at":"2026-10-25T03:14:48+00:00","updated_at":"2026-10-25T12:38:49+00:00","category":"other","confidence":0.6,"triage":{"at":"2026-10-25T03:14:48Z","model":"claude-haiku-5-5","output":{"fix":"- unknown","reach":"internet","title":"OpenReception: six-digit client PIN brute-forced online, exposing appointment data","impact":"high","summary":"OpenReception appointment booking software in versions 2.1.0 and prior lets an attacker brute-force a returning client's six-digit booking PIN online.
