# Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools: Updates Environment flaw lets admins alter data

A flaw in the Updates Environment Management component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools 8.61 through 8.63 lets a highly privileged logged-in user modify or delete critical data and crash the service. The attacker must already have logon access to the infrastructure running PeopleTools.

Vulnerability in the PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools product of Oracle PeopleSoft (component: Updates Environment Mgmt).  Supported versions that are affected are 8.61-8.63. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools executes to compromise PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools.  Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in  unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.0 (Integrity and Availability impacts).  CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H).
