# Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools: Process Scheduler flaw allows limited data read and write

A flaw in the Process Scheduler component of Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.61 and 8.62 lets a low-privileged user over HTTP read and change a subset of accessible data. Exploitation is hard and needs a second person to interact with the attack, and it can affect other products through scope change.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed PeopleTools version in the PeopleSoft environment, for example via the PeopleTools version shown in the admin pages (unknown exact path in sources)
- Confirm whether the Process Scheduler is exposed over HTTP to users with low privileges (unknown in sources)

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update for PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools that covers versions 8.61 and 8.62 (exact patch identifiers unknown in sources)

## Timeline

- 2026-10-23T21:57:25+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-60878
