# Android MMS provider lets one user access another user's messages

A missing permission check in the Android MMS provider's insertInternal method breaks isolation between user profiles on the same device. A local app could use it to gain privileges it should not have, with no user interaction needed.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## From the sources

In insertInternal of MmsProvider.java, there is a possible multiuser isolation issue due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
