# Android: integer overflow in MMS PDU parser allows remote denial of service

A flaw in the PduParser.java parseContentType routine causes an integer overflow. A remote sender can crash the parsing process with no privileges and no user action.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Timeline

- 2026-11-02T20:35:30+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-58814

## From the sources

In parseContentType of PduParser.java, there is a possible denial of service due to an integer overflow. This could lead to remote denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
