# Quirky WordPress plugin: unauthenticated PHP object injection up to 1.23

Quirky versions 1.23 and older accept untrusted input that gets unserialized as a PHP object. An unauthenticated attacker can use this to inject objects, which can lead to code execution on the server.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Quirky plugin version in the WordPress admin plugin list, or in the plugin's main file header.

## Fix

- Move Quirky past `1.23`; the sources do not name the fixed version.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-29T16:25:59+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-54857

## From the sources
