SolarWinds Serv-U has an uncontrolled resource consumption bug: specially crafted unauthenticated POST requests with a Content-Encoding: deflate header crash the Serv-U service. An attacker needs no login to take the file transfer service down, and CISA lists it as actively exploited.

SolarWinds Serv-U contains an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability that allows specially crafted POST requests using the Content-Encoding: deflate header to crash the Serv-U service without authentication.
