# EV charger web server skips authentication on POST and PUT requests

Delta Electronics UFC500 DC fast-charger web server does not check authentication on POST/PUT. An unauthenticated attacker on the adjacent network can reboot the charger and, by brute-forcing the configid, set the service password and change any setting.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Delta UFC500 affected < 2.4.18 fixed 2.4.18

## How to check

Check the UFC500 firmware version in its service/web interface; versions below 2.4.18 are affected. Also confirm whether the web interface is reachable from untrusted networks. Delta's exact guidance unconfirmed.

## Fix

Update UFC500 firmware to 2.4.18 or later (per CNA record via OpenCVE; vendor advisory not yet read). A second version line lists 4.4.1; confirm with Delta which applies to your unit.

- 2026-10-30T11:32:34+00:00 analyst — CNA record (DIVD, via OpenCVE mirror; DIVD and Delta pages not retrievable, DIVD-2026-00012 case page fetched showed unrelated MikroTik content so ignored) names Delta Electronics UFC500 EV charger: firmware < 2.4.18 affected, 2.4.18 unaffected; a second entry lists < 4.4.1 (stream unclear). Vendor advisory not read, nothing verified. Not known exploited, no PoC found.

## Documents

- [describes] OpenCVE: CVE-2026-22110 (mirrors DIVD CNA record) https://app.opencve.io/cve/CVE-2026-22110

## From the sources

The web server does not check authentication on POST or PUT. An unauthenticated attacker can reboot the charger; by brute-forcing the configid, they can also set the service password and then change any setting.
