# Android GNSS: missing bounds check allows out-of-bounds write locally

A missing bounds check in the GNSS (GPS satellite positioning) component can cause an out-of-bounds memory write. A local attacker can crash the component, causing denial of service, and no extra privileges are needed beyond user interaction.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## From the sources

In gnss, there is a possible out of bounds write due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is needed for exploitation. Patch ID: ALPS11309305; Issue ID: MSV-10730.
