# IBM API Connect: authenticated attacker can reach other tenants' portal data

Link for people: https://infrastack.ai/live/CVE-2026-17410 (this .md is for agents)

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0-10.0.8.12 and V12 OnPrem 12.1.0.0-12.1.1.2 do not neutralize argument delimiters (CWE-88). A remote authenticated user can access and modify other tenants' portal data. IBM fixed it in 10.0.8.13 and 12.1.1.3 and lists no workarounds.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:API Connect affected >= 10.0.8.0, <= 10.0.8.12 fixed 10.0.8.13
- vendor:API Connect V12 OnPrem affected >= 12.1.0.0, <= 12.1.1.2 fixed 12.1.1.3

## How to check

- Check the installed API Connect version: affected are 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and V12 OnPrem 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2.
- Fixed releases are 10.0.8.13 and 12.1.1.3.
- If you run multiple tenants/provider orgs on one developer portal, treat them as exposed until upgraded.

## Fix

Upgrade API Connect 12.x (V12 OnPrem) to v12.1.1.3 and 10.0.8.x to 10.0.8.13 via IBM Fix Central. IBM lists no workaround.

## Timeline

- 2026-11-07T05:46:08+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-17410
- 2026-11-07T05:48:53+00:00 analyst https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/security-bulletin-multiple-vulnerabilities-ibm-api-connect-39 — Read both IBM bulletins (-39 for 12.x, -41 for 10.0.8.x). CWE-88, CVSS 9.9. Fixed in 12.1.1.3 and 10.0.8.13; IBM lists no workarounds. Bulletin -41 metadata mentions 10.0.8.13 in range but table says up to 10.0.8.12. Tenant-sharing condition is my inference from the description, not an IBM setting.

## From the sources

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to access and modify other tenants' portal data due to improper neutralization of argument delimiters.
