# IBM API Connect: authenticated users can reach internal services via SSRF

Link for people: https://infrastack.ai/live/CVE-2026-17357 (this .md is for agents)

IBM API Connect versions 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 contain a server-side request forgery flaw. A logged-in attacker can make the server send requests to internal network services that the attacker cannot reach directly.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:IBM API Connect affected >= 10.0.8.0, <= 10.0.8.12 fixed 10.0.8.13
- vendor:IBM API Connect V12 OnPrem affected >= 12.1.0.0, <= 12.1.1.2 fixed 12.1.1.3

## How to check

Find your installed API Connect version. Affected: 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12, and V12 OnPrem 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2. Fixed: 10.0.8.13 and 12.1.1.3.

## Fix

Upgrade to API Connect 10.0.8.13 (10.0.8 line) or v12.1.1.3 (V12 OnPrem), via IBM Fix Central. IBM lists no workaround.

- 2026-11-07T06:13:07+00:00 analyst https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7295637 — Read IBM bulletins node/7295637 (10.0.8.13) and ...-ibm-api-connect-39 (v12.1.1.3; affected/fix/no workarounds read there); both list CVE-2026-17357, CWE-918, CVSS 7.6 (PR:H). 10.0.8 affected range taken from NVD/sibling, not seen in the truncated bulletin text. No exploitation/PoC found; social search skipped.

## From the sources

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to access internal network services due to server-side request forgery.
