# IBM API Connect: authenticated users can probe internal network services via URLs

IBM API Connect versions 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 do not validate user-supplied URLs, so the server can be made to contact internal systems. An attacker with a valid account can learn about services on the internal network.

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to obtain information about internal network services due to improper validation of user-supplied URLs. Addresses supplied by users are not sufficiently restricted, so the server could be made to contact internal systems.
